Greater Manchester Orthopaedic Alliance is formed of 6 trusts:

- Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
- Stockport NHS Foundation Trust
- Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust
- Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The key aims of the GMOA are to:
- Improve the MSK health of GM
- Improve the care of the orthopaedic patient
- Reduce variation
- Raise standards with the aim of all GM trusts being within the top 10% of performers in objective measures for trauma and orthopaedics
- Raise the academic profile of orthopaedic provision nationally and internationally
- Enhance the training and education of all those involved in MSK care
Across the Alliance, a comprehensive service is provided for all secondary and tertiary orthopaedic and trauma services utilising an effective standards-based network for specialist care.
