NOA CIPs sharing workshop

Date: 15 December 2020

Venue: Zoom (virtual event)

Our survey in September asking about the impact of COVID-19 on CIPs plans for 2020/21 revealed that some of our members have abandoned their CIPs plans altogether, others have scaled back on all clinically led savings plans and some trusts are proceeding as normal. This event for NOA members offers and opportunity  to find out about the successes and learnings across a wide range of approaches.

Following the format of previous CIPs events (see here), we ask for as many attendees/Trusts to provide a short presentation (approximately 10 minutes, with slides please) highlighting achievements, challenges and learning.

What the presentation needs to include:

  • An example of one CIP that is running to plan despite the pandemic (what it was, the planned cost improvement, how it’s going, why it’s working well)
  • An example of one that isn’t as successful and what about the pandemic caused them not to meet the target (what it was, the planned cost improvement, how far off target it is, why the pandemic has affected it)
  • Lessons learned about how to manage CIPs in the event of a national crisis and how this learning is being used in preparation for next year

As part of the registration (link to register below) you will be asked if yourself, or a colleague from your Trust will be presenting. This will help us determine the length of time required for the event. The proposed agenda is below.
