The National Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA) continues to grow as the network welcomes its newest member organisation – East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT). Formed in July 2018, ESNEFT is the largest NHS organisation in the East of England region and combines the services of Colchester and Ipswich hospitals, and the surrounding community hospitals. The new Trust’s Trauma & Orthopaedic/Spine service has 33 consultants providing a comprehensive range of elective and trauma surgery. The separate spinal surgery unit based at Ipswich is a regional hub centre for the East of England.
Mark Bowditch, ESNEFT Divisional Director MSK & Spinal Surgery, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon said, “We are delighted to have joined the NOA as a member organisation, and look forward to benefiting from being part of a network that works to ensure we all provide the best possible orthopaedic care for our patients.”
Ann Hoey, NOA Deputy Director said, “We are pleased to welcome ESNEFT to the NOA. Our network has grown in strength over the years which is a testament to our members who support the delivery of high quality orthopaedic care. ESNEFT will strengthen our ability to make real improvements in the care our members provide across the country.”
