Join us for a thought provoking webinar, Sustainability and the Green Agenda in Orthopaedic Surgery, chaired by Mr Cormac Kelly, as we explore the latest NHS developments in sustainability in orthopaedic surgery. Irrum Afzal will summarise the South West London Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) paper “Sustainability in Orthopaedic Surgery ” and give some insight into developments at SWLEOC.
The session is also an opportunity to find out about the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Green Plan, which won the “Working Towards Net Zero – A Greener NHS “award at the 2022 NOA Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards.
Additionally, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) West Midlands will outline some research in this area and introduce their proposed randomised control trial (DRAGON) on the use of disposable versus re-useable theatre gowns. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and questions from attendees.
