Postponement of NOA Annual Members’ Conference and Awards

KEY DATES AND INFORMATION 2024

The NOA Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards ceremony will be held on 15 May 2025 at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre. The below timeline will be updated in due course.

Enter the awards

Please make sure you have read all the rules and criteria before entering. Your written entry must be no longer than 1,000 words.

All entries must be in by midnight on TBC or they won’t be valid.

All valid entries submitted to the Judges will be announced on this date.

Following the judge’s deliberations, the top 3 entries for each category will be announced. Our 2025 finalists!

All finalists will be asked to create a 7 minute powerpoint presentation with recorded audio for the judges. This will be used to decide the winners for each category and must be submitted no later than date TBC.

Invitations will be sent to all Finalists to attend Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards evening ceremony where the winners will be announced, and details about presenting their entry to fellow NOA members at the NOA Annual Members Conference.

Finalists will also be asked to support the NOA team to create their display poster summarising their entry. These posters will be available to view digitally on the NOA website and a large size foam board poster will be on display throughout the day during the NOA Annual Members Conference and during the evening awards ceremony. The finalists may take these foam board posters home with them.  

The Judges must receive all the Finalist’s PowerPoint presentations with audio recording (no longer than 7 minutes!) by date TBC.

The judges will choose their winner for each category with the help of these presentations.

All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on TBC.

The NOA team must receive all the information required to create a display poster summarising the finalist entry by TBC.

The posters will be available to view digitally on the NOA website and an A1 size board poster will be on display throughout the day during the NOA Annual Members Conference and during the evening awards ceremony.

15th May– the NOA Annual Members Conference (daytime) and Excellence in Orthopaedics Awards ceremony (evening).

All Finalists have the opportunity to present their entry to fellow NOA members at the NOA Annual Members Conference during the day on 17 October. The Awards ceremony will take place in the evening.

Finalists have 2 complimentary seats for colleagues at the awards ceremony including drinks reception, 3 course dinner, DJ and dancing plus the opportunity for other colleagues to purchase further seats at a reduced cost to join the celebrations and support their Finalists.

Winning entries will receive a trophy, certificate and bottle of bubbly.

Judges

All our judges are accomplished professionals with distinguished careers. Using the criteria, they’ll carefully consider your written submission. Scores from each judge are added together to determine the finalists in each category. The judges will decide the winners of each category after reviewing presentations with audio accompaniment and much deliberation!
